Here is the total mark breakup (as per previous pattern):
- Maths – 50 Questions × 3 Marks = 150
- Intelligence – 25 Questions × 2 Marks = 50
- GK – 25 Questions × 2 Marks = 50
- Language – 25 Questions × 2 Marks = 50
Total = 300 Marks
There is no negative marking as per the latest rule, but please check official site before final.
Who Can Apply for Class 6?
- Only boys and girls aged 10 to 12 years (as on 31 March 2025) can apply.
- Should be studying in Class 5 or passed Class 5.

What is the most important subject for the Sainik School Class 6 Syllabus /exam?
Maths is the most important one because it carries the highest marks (150 out of 300). Your child should practice maths everyday, especially word problems and basic calculations.
What level of questions will come in the exam?
The questions are mostly from Class 5 level. But some topics may be from Class 4 or starting part of Class 6 also. So it’s better to revise basics from Class 4 and 5 both.
